THE EVERYDAY RITUAL

A small pause.
A whole new rhythm.

Choose your coffee

Start with the cup you like.

Pick a roast level first, then choose whole bean or ground to match the way you brew. Every coffee is roasted to order, so plan for roasting time before it ships.

  1. Choose a roast level

For a bright cup, High Lakes is a light roast with citrus and fresh fruit, and Colombia is a light-medium single origin with savory, cocoa and smooth notes. For balance, the medium roasts are Rock Creek (citrus, toffee, dark chocolate), Broken Top (chocolate-covered almond, maple syrup, citrus) and Smith River (praline, nutty). For depth, Cascades Blend is a medium-dark roast with cocoa and toasted nut, Flathead Valley is a dark roast with toffee and cocoa, and Bitterroot is a bold dark roast with bittersweet chocolate. Trapper Peak Decaf is a decaffeinated medium roast with dark chocolate and earthy notes.

  2. Whole bean or ground?

Choose whole bean if you grind at home just before brewing; the hand grinder holds up to 36 g at a time, and its espresso capability is not confirmed. Choose ground if you do not have a grinder. There is one ground option, so the grind size can’t be customized.

  3. Start with a simple ratio

As a starting point, use 15 g of coffee to 250 g of water just off the boil, then adjust the grind and ratio to taste. Keep the box sealed in a cool, dark place away from moisture.

GOOD TO KNOW

A few useful answers.

Ask us a question
Should I choose whole bean or ground?

Choose whole bean if you have a grinder and like to grind just before brewing. Choose ground if you want coffee ready to brew; it comes in one grind size, which can’t be customized. Every coffee is offered both ways.

Where is the coffee roasted and grown?

Our roasting partner roasts and packs every order in Oregon, USA. Each coffee’s page lists where it was grown: for example, Colombia comes from the Huila and Cauca regions of Colombia, Bitterroot from Brazil and Trapper Peak Decaf from Indonesia, and the blends combine coffees from several countries. Flathead Valley’s growing countries are not specified. Roasted in the US does not mean grown in the US.

Do you have decaf?

Yes. Trapper Peak Decaf is a decaffeinated medium roast grown in Indonesia, offered whole bean or ground. Decaffeinated coffee is not caffeine-free, and our roasting partner does not specify the decaffeination process.
