Choose your coffee

Start with the cup you like.

Pick a roast level first, then choose whole bean or ground to match the way you brew. Every coffee is roasted to order, so plan for roasting time before it ships.

Find your starting point
01

Choose a roast level

Colombia is a light-medium single origin from Huila and Cauca with savory, cocoa and smooth notes. Rock Creek is a medium-roast blend of Brazilian, Colombian, Guatemalan and Ethiopian coffees with citrus, toffee and dark chocolate notes. Flathead Valley is a dark roast with a deep body, bakers chocolate and caramelized sugar, and notes of toffee and cocoa.

Whole bean or ground?

Choose whole bean if you grind at home just before brewing; the hand grinder holds up to 36 g at a time, and its espresso capability is not confirmed. Choose ground if you do not have a grinder. There is one ground option, so the grind size can’t be customized.

Start with a simple ratio

As a starting point, use 15 g of coffee to 250 g of water just off the boil, then adjust the grind and ratio to taste. Keep the box sealed in a cool, dark place away from moisture.

Plan for roasting time

Our roasting partner in Oregon roasts and packs each order, which takes 3–4 business days before it ships, then about 3–6 business days in transit: allow 6–10 business days in total. Coffee and the grinder ship separately and need separate checkouts.

A FEW DETAILS THAT MATTER

Know what comes next.

Should I choose whole bean or ground?

Choose whole bean if you have a grinder and like to grind just before brewing. Choose ground if you want coffee ready to brew; it comes in one grind size, which can’t be customized. Every coffee is offered both ways.

Where is the coffee roasted and grown?

Our roasting partner roasts and packs every order in Oregon, USA. Rock Creek blends coffees grown in Brazil, Colombia, Guatemala and Ethiopia, and Colombia comes from the Huila and Cauca regions of Colombia. Flathead Valley’s growing countries are not specified. Roasted in the US does not mean grown in the US.

When will my coffee ship?

Each box is roasted and packed after you order. Allow 3–4 business days before it ships and about 3–6 business days in transit, or 6–10 business days in total. We can’t promise a specific roast date. Tracking is sent when it ships.

Can I return coffee?

Coffee is food, so opened coffee can’t be returned. Unopened boxes follow our standard policy for unused items: contact us within 30 days of delivery, and change-of-mind return shipping is paid by you. If an order arrives damaged, misprinted or incorrect, contact us within 30 days of delivery with photos and we will send a replacement or a refund.

Can I order coffee and the grinder together?

They ship from different partners, so they need separate checkouts. Your bag will ask you to check them out one at a time. Shipping to US addresses is free either way.

Can the hand grinder make espresso?

Its espresso grind capability is not confirmed, and the burr material is not specified. If espresso is your main brew method, choose a grinder with a confirmed espresso grind range.

How do delivery estimates work?

Each product lists its shipping origin and estimated transit window. Add 1–4 business days for processing or made-to-order production before dispatch; each product shows its own processing time. “Ships from the US” means the item is stocked in a US warehouse; it does not identify where it was made. Check the estimate on the item you choose.

Can I return my order?

Contact us within 30 days of delivery before returning unused items in their original condition. Coffee is food: opened coffee cannot be returned. You pay return shipping for a change of mind; we cover damaged or incorrect goods. Read delivery & returns.
